4-panel manga based on .hack//G.U. role-playing game trilogy
The North American publisher Tokyopop (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=11) announced at its second online discussion panel ("webinar (http://www.tokyopop.com/Robofish/tp_article/2831943.html)") on Wednesday that it will publish Koichi Sumimaru's .hack//4Koma (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/lexicon.php?id=89) manga on April 6, 2010. The four-panel gag comedy manga re-imagines Kite, Atoli, Haseo, and the other characters from the .hack//G.U. role-playing game trilogy. Tokyopop has published most of the other manga tie-ins from the .hack franchise (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/lexicon.php?id=70), while Bandai Entertainment (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=3) released most of the anime including the .hack//G.U. Trilogy (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=8719) movie. According to the Amazon retail website, Ryan Peterson (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=70381) is translating this 192-page manga as he did for .hack//G.U.+ (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/manga.php?id=8085) and .hack//XXXX (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/manga.php?id=8380).
