An advertisement for the upcoming Inuyasha: The Final Act (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=10970) anime series has confirmed that the pop music group Do as Infinity (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=7075) will perform the anime's opening theme song. Inuyasha: The Final Act continues (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-07-16/inuyasha-final-chapter-gets-tv-anime-green-lit) beyond where the first anime series ended and adapts the story from the final 21 compiled book volumes of Rumiko Takahashi (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=149)'s original manga. Do as Infinity's members just announced (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-09-16/do-as-infinity-x-japan-reveal-more-on-reunion-plans) last year that they are reuniting after nine years apart. Do as Infinity performed the "Fukai Mori" and "Shinjitsu no Uta" ending theme songs for the first Inuyasha (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=159) television anime series. Inuyasha: The Final Act will debut in Tokyo's Kanto area late night on Saturday, October 3.
The North American distributor Viz Media (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=4552) announced (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-07-24/viz-adds-inuyasha-final-act-kekkaishi-anime) at Comic-Con International in July that it acquired the rights to Inuyasha: The Final Act.
Update: The "super entertainment group" AAA will perform the new anime's ending theme song. AAA performed the "Blood on Fire" theme in the live-action Initial D (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=3394) the Movie and played (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/convention/2007/otakon/aaa-concert) at Otakon 2007.
