The Spike TV (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=4137) network will preview (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/press-release/2009-09-03/u.s-television-premiere-of-live-action-halo-3/odst) scenes from "The Babysitter" short of the Japanese-animated Halo Legends anthology during the GTTV Presents Halo 3: ODST Countdown to Launch special at midnight on early Friday morning. Halo Legends is a collection of seven short films based on Microsoft (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=6194) Studios' Halo game franchise (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/lexicon.php?id=70). The BONES (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=198), Casio Entertainment, Production I.G (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=337), Studio 4°C (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=359), and Toei Animation (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=145) anime studios are animating (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-07-23/halo-legends-to-be-animated-by-5-japanese-studios) these side stories about the war between humans and the alien Covenant.
According to Spike TV, "The Babysitter" follows mankind's Spartan super-soldier and the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers "when an all-or-nothing opportunity to strike at the heart of Covenant leadership arises."
Warner Brothers (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=1743) will release the anthology via DVD, Blu-ray Disc, and digital distribution in early 2010. A trailer was previously shown (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/convention/2009/san-diego-comic-con-international/halo-legends) at Comic-Con International in San Diego and on Spike TV in July.

(PS This could go into either anime or gaming. I chose gaming since it made more sense. :p)
