The latest console sales figures show what looks to be an irreversible and humiliating collapse in Japanese Xbox 360 sales, with the console by some margin the worst selling console on the market, even dropping once again (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/04/06/xbox-360-doomed-in-japan-outsold-by-ps2/) below the PS2.

The recent price cut (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/08/28/microsoft-100-xbox-cut-nothing-to-do-with-ps3-slim/) in response to the PS3 Slim seems not to have had the desired effect.
On the other hand, cuts in price for the Wii and PSP, to say nothing of the PS3 Slim itself (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/09/08/ps3-slim-sales-best-ever-150000-in-4-days/), have had rather positive effects on sales… The Xbox 360 may well and truly be in an irretrievable position (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/09/17/xbox-360-finished-in-japan/) this time.
