A recent survey asking Japanese which anime character they would most like to try living with has yielded some rather surprising results.
The results:
1. Doraemon (Doraemon)
2. Korosuke (Kiteretsu Daihyakka)
3. Lum (Urusei Yatsura)
4. Keroro (Keroro Gunsou)
5. Hattori-kun (Ninja Hattori-kun)
6. Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin)
7. Ojarumaru (Ojarumaru)
8. Ranma (Ranma 1/2)
9. Nyanko-sensei (Natsume’s Book of Friends)
10. Belldandy (Oh My Goddess)
Some might wonder at just who they asked in order to avoid getting answers like “Mio” or “Luffy”; presumably fond childhood memories are at play here, along with a substantial body of female respondents…
Other notables included To Love-Ru’s Lala at 12, Rozen Maiden’s Shinku at 14, and Kannagi’s Nagi-sama at 19. Understandably, nobody in their right mind would want to live with the likes of Haruhi.
