Classic manga property Crayon Shin-chan is set to restart with a new mangaka, after the unfortunate death of creator Yoshito Usui (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/09/21/crayon-shin-chan-mangaka-killed-in-clifftop-fall/). The serialisation is still ongoing due posthumous publication of completed works, but this material is scheduled to run out in February.
However, the manga will be restarting (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/goto/http://www.daily.co.jp/gossip/article/2009/12/01/0002551801.shtml) “in a new form” in the summer of 2010, with a new mangaka and studio, and with the blessing of Usui’s estate.
The anime is also set to continue.
