The PS3 port of “multiplatform” witch fest Bayonetta has been decried as a travesty with long load times, inferior graphics and a host of other deficiencies (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/10/10/bayonetta-ps3-vs-xbox-360-ps3-port-disaster/), but the hopes of those awaiting a patch have been dashed with a flat denial from Sega. Sony’s eventual response (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/goto/http://blog.livedoor.jp/htmk73/archives/2263467.html) to fan complaints about the state of the game on the PS3:
Sorry but we can’t change anything at the loading time of this game.
I think isn’t possible that a patch can change this.
Can’t, or won’t?
Platinum Games is doubtless reassessing the wisdom of outsourcing the PS3 port to Sega (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/09/19/bayonetta-xbox-360-refugee/), a decision which soured the hyperbolic esteem (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/12/25/gaming-media-fawns-over-flawless-bayonetta/) in which the game is held with a note of acrimony.
Perfect Bayonetta is available on the Xbox 360 now (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/goto/http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-bf73-71-dh-49-en-84-j-70-39fx.html).
