The otaku consumer’s desire for more and more elements of the otherwise normal world to receive the ita treatment is far reaching, resulting in such varied goods such as packages of rice (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2008/12/19/ita-rice-proves-huge-success/), curry (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/02/04/ita-curry-craze-sweeps-akiba/), tanks (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/02/09/hatsune-miku-ita-tank/), and of course the quintessential example of the itasha (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/tag/itasha/).
Below are a few examples of the ubiquitous USB memory stick that have undergone the procedure, mostly from hardware firm Buffalo, which seems to be resting comfortably at the top of the ita-USB memory market at present.
The following USB sticks come from Buffalo (http://buffalo.jp/products/catalog/flash/swattears/), hold 4GB of memory and have legs that can swivel to reveal the fragile USB connector.

This cute gif (click the picture to view) shows the USB memory’s stubby legs swinging back and forth.
The Buffalo USB memory can be purchased inside Japan at sites such as AmiAmi (http://www.amiami.com/shop/ProductInfo/product_id/118829); international customers will likely need to turn to auction sites to acquire them. They cost around ¥4,000, which is quite steep for 4GB drives, but efficient data storage is most definitely besides the point of these devices.
However, Buffalo isn’t the only company making USB memory tailored for the otaku market – the premiere example of these must be the famous Code Geass (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/tag/code-geass/) Lancelot key:

An indepth review of it is available at Actar’s blog (http://actar.wordpress.com/2008/12/07/code-geass-exclusive-lancelot-launch-key-usb-thumb-drive/).
If you might be interested in an example of USB memory gone wrong however, there is the Chun Li Fail Memory (http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2008/12/12/chun-li-failgood-usb-memory/)…
