8 subbed episodes of "renewed" airing, including 1st new episode since 2006
The Kadokawa Anime Channel on the YouTube streaming website has officially posted (http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=AA844FB687BA335E) the first eight episodes of the "renewed (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-02-04/kadokawa-shoten-reportedly-says-april-haruhi-is-rerun)" airing of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=6430) television anime series with English subtitles this past weekend. The eighth episode, "The Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody," happens to be the first new Haruhi episode that Kyoto Animation (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=235) produced (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-05-21/new-haruhi-suzumiya-anime-episode-airs) since the anime's original 2006 run. The English-subtitled episodes will be available until July 5 (July 6 at 12:59 p.m. Japan Standard Time). Kadokawa has been streaming (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-03-10/kadokawa-to-stream-haruhi-tv-anime-on-youtube-in-april) each episode in Japanese one week after its broadcast since last month.
